Buttons are useful little gadgets, they hold things together, just like mothers. They re not just functional though. They can be used for decoration. They can change the look of a garment. Remove black buttons off a black cardi, replace them with plain white ones and the transformation is mind boggling. Size can have impact as well. Small dainty buttons add a touch of delicacy, whereas bigger ones are demanding attention and can dominate the look. Colour also counts. Buttons no longer need to blend in. We know they are there so why hide them? Why do they need to match? Why not have a mix of red, white and blue or for keen gardeners there are watering cans and plant pots and for girls there are lips and handbags. 

So use your imagination,  you have spent all that time making something so why not finish it in true style?
